Out of the ashes

The pond at work where I took the frog group picture HERE Dried up on Friday, we managed to rescue over 30 frogs & transfer them to another safe pond, at the weekend neds armed with buckfast bottles filled the dried out pond with old pallets & made a huge bonfire.

We were thankful that we had moved the frogs the day before the fire, on inspection of the burnt out pond today I was surprised to find this wee chappie in the ashes, poor wee thing must have arrived at the pond looking for some spring action only to discover burnt out wood & ash :-(, suffice to say he was rescued & is now splashing around in the safe pond :-)
