The writing on the wall?
Wow... 100 blips! When I started in October 2009, it was mainly because I just got myself an iPhone and was looking for cool apps. My colleague Niels introduced me to blip and I noticed blipfoto has an iPhone app. I gave it a go and thought it might be a fun way to share a picture every now and then.
For some reason still not really known to me, the idea of doing a daily blip got stuck in my head on December 31. Since then I've kept doing that. My newly found interest in photography is the main reason to keep going. There are so many talented people here on blipfoto to learn from and so many things have grabbed my attention. Some of them were turned into blips:
Yesterday I completed a series of ten blips about the Groningen City Boundary Markers
Shooting falling and fallen drops of water
Tilt-shift or fake miniatures
HDR shots
Merging images
Experiments with light painting
Todays blip is a combination of the last two techniques. It didn't quite come out as I hoped but given the time it will have to do...
All of this I have learned in the last 82 days. It's been an awesome experience so far and I'm only just getting started! So thanks Niels for introducing me and thanks everyone for viewing and commenting; you're all great! And hats off to Joe and everyone at blipcentral for running this show!
