Glasgow City Chambers
Through at a conference in Glasgow at the very opulent City Chambers today. This is my second visit there and last time, although I took lots of shots, I opted not to post them promising that I'd do so on my next visit.
This magnificent Victorian building is now home to Glasgow City Council. The stairs are made of and are surrounded by white Carrera marble, which is white with grey veins. It's reputed to be the biggest marble staircase in the world. You can also see the Venetian mosaic tiles on the third floor of the building.
Can't be too bad for the cooncillors having to go into work here every day...
