Weeds in the rain

These are dried weeds in the rain in the Sandia's foothills. It was a beautiful day for color but all I had was my black and white camera.

Today, I give thanks for my life, the day I was given and a positive visit with the doctor with lots of good news (only 1 more hurdle to clear before we can try to reschedule the hip surgery). The cancellation of the hip surgery and the continuous medical issues that have kept it from being rescheduled have occupied the past 4 months.
