New growth

I finally got round to throwing out my flowers today. Even although they were looking so sad I spotted a tiny bit of new growth on one of the rose stalks. Anyone know if I planted it would it grow?

Apart from this I've had a pretty exciting morning with packages arriving through the post. Thanks for the CDs Mr Designjr - they're already on my ipod ready to head into town with me!
