"Dixie wants off"
Well we're back from extended family vacation,
I'm buzzed on caffeine, it's 1 AM, I have an entire minivan and trailer full of crap to unload, and instead I'm downloading a 2GB SD card and messing with blip.
Today H and I took kids kayaking into this canal. It was dug by the Army Corps of Engineers about a half century ago to help drain the Great Dismal Swamp. During our adventure we happened upon "Dixie" and her human. From a distance we observed an enormous plume of 2 cycle motor oil and unburned gasoline wisping into the sky and heard a cacophony of very ominous metallic noises issuing from the motor of this vessel. Upon overtaking her, I had a very poignant non-verbal conversation with "Dixie" a chocolate lab. "Dixie" clearly wanted off of the foundering vessel and when I paddled closer she jumped into the water and attempted to climb onto/into my kayak, much to the chagrin of her human companion who had enough on his plate at the time.
Lots of blips to catch up on. G'night
