Had a fun evening last night answering the phone at home to guys saying "Steve, you alright? where are you?". British Telecom have allocated him our home number. After 45 minutes hanging on the BT "help" line Mrs Smith managed to speak to a real person who isolated the problem and told us that our home calls would have to be bounced to our mobile numbers but there was nothing they could do about us receiving Steve's calls. They are aiming to get the problem sorted by next Monday or Tuesday. It was pointed out that this was 5 days away. Presumably before all the increased efficiencies and streamlined working practices they have introduced it would have taken 5 years so we should be pleased really.
