This is the second falls near my office.

Every hydro plant has a spillway like this one.
Even though the two intakes are >16 ft in diameter, sometimes there is just too much water, and all the energy is just "wasted".
Or is it? How do you figure the cleaning effect on all the junk from the last year, or the benefits to nature?

It is sometimes good to let go and let nature be free.
