Down the snake we slide

But fell over with too much pride

It's all a bit of a gamble
This game of life we play
Everyone braced for the scramble
Some faithful, others betray

Accept that sometimes it will feel
That you have got it wrong
And that you may get hurt
In this menacing throng

There is an element of luck
But also discipline and acceptance
And when you feel stuck
Then try to use a bit of patience.

It's a tough old world out there
But we may only get one chance at it
So please don't despair
