Olivia
Spent the morning calling around and scheduling visits from contractors. Our house desperately needs new siding all around. We are dreading hearing those numbers; in fact, we've been putting it off for a couple years now. It's time to face the music and find out the truth. It's going to be a BIG job. Our house is unique. They call it a California contemporary, which is ridiculous because we're in the Midwest and there are no homes in California like this. It's apparently the idea of what a typical California home looks like, to someone. Two contractors are scheduled to come tomorrow and then my Taxman and I are going to a home show on Saturday to talk to more contractors. I want more than a couple estimates and we need some suggestions.
Met my friend Sally for lunch and then raced over to my daughter's house to watch Olivia for the afternoon. She's our middle grand child. She is very easy to get along with and loves life. I crack up over everything she does. She climbs up on top of something and then looks at you and says, "dow" because that what they say to her. She says, "Dadada" sadly as she looks out the front storm door. Her daddy is a stay-at-home dad and they are very close. I had to head for home as soon as my daughter and Owen arrived home because my house needs a quick tidy (it needs a lot more than that, but that's all I've got left to give it) before my Taxman gets home tonight.
The temperature went from low 50s to 35F this afternoon and with the blustery winds it feels frigid.
I'm tearing myself away now because the house will not be tidying itself unfortunately. Now that would be an invention.
