Day 84 of 365

After a dark and gloomy day, the evening cleared up just enough to do a bit of star gazing. If you can get out tonight, check out Mars right next to the Moon (upper right in this picture); one of the last days you will see it this close to the Earth until 2012.

I was practicing some long exposure shots when as luck would have it, an Airbus A320 came in and banked straight over the house to line up for final approach at O'Hare Airport.

I love these shots that come together out of sheer luck. :)
