Chokebore Lodge

Busy day today, and on my way home I passed Chokebore Lodge, opposite Riccarton Racecourse. I have never stopped and looked at it, so today was the day.
It is one of the oldest domestic structures in Christchurch, and was built in 1856 as a farm cottage, but later became a celebrated racing stable. It is now managed by the City Council. It was not open to look around, but one day....
