Blue room

I met a friend for lunch who I hadn't seen for a wee while. We planned to sit in the park, but that was a little optimistic - it started raining so we headed into the park cafe for a veggie sausage sandwich and a peppermint tea. "I have news," she said. It's always lovely to hear happy news and this was grand - she's getting married in May. I then said, "I have news" and told her I was engaged, too, though I'm not so organised as to have a date. She had some inspiring ideas.

This evening, we ran out of wine, which is unheard of. So we had champagne, which we shared with Fi, who came over to see how to give Sybil her medicine. Every Thursday should be a champagne night.
