Victoria Square... again
After my previous post showing the gardens in Victoria Square, I decided to show the buildings around the square.
This is the Royal Promenade, which was supposedly designed to resemble a palace rather than a row of houses. Many of the houses have now been converted into flats, although one complete house on the square is currently on the market for £1,750,000 - slightly out of my price range!
Following the pavement into the distance you pass through Pharmacy Arch, which bears a carving of a young Queen Victoria, and the house obscured by trees on the left-hand edge of the photo is a former residence of W.G. Grace.
