Nature Project

I spent the early hours of this morning with the family of one of our American heroes, a deployed soldier in Iraq.

I had the privilege of being invited into their home before the crack of dawn to photograph images of their life that will become part of a story sent over to their loved one.

The ordinary images of every day life were all around me as they went through their morning routine, including this experiment in the natural evolution of an onion.

They found it "sprouting" in the fridge one day and put it up on the kitchen counter to continue on it's course until the ground is ready to receive it. It will then join the strawberry plant and other plantings in the back yard garden.
