Continuamos con el Proyecto 102... Esta vez hablamos de Bareyo.

El municipio de Bareyo se extiende por 32 km2, junto a la costa oriental de Cantabria, entre la ría de Ajo y la antigua Junta de Ribamontán. La mayor parte de sus algo más de 1.700 habitantes se concentra en la capital, Ajo, cuyas tierras avanzan sobre el mar por uno de los cabos de más renombre de la costa cantábrica, el punto más septentrional de la comunidad autónoma.
El municipio posee importantes recursos naturales. El más destacado es la ría de Ajo declarado Lugar de Interés Comunitario (LIC) y Zona de Especial Protección para las Aves (ZEPA). Destaca también una espectacular línea de acantilados que alcanzan los 130 m de altura.

Let´s continue with the Proyect 102... Today we´ll talk about Bareyo.

The municipality of Bareyo extends 32 km2 along the eastern coast of Cantabria, between the estuary of Ajo and the ancient board of Ribamontán. Most of its just over 1,700 inhabitants are concentrated in the capital, Ajo, whose lands are advancing on the sea by one of the most renowned capes of the Cantabrian coast, the northernmost point of the autonomous region.
The municipality has important natural resources. The most prominent is the Ria de Ajo declared Place of Community Interest (SCI) and Special Protection Area for Birds (SPA). It also has a spectacular line of cliffs that reach 130 m in height.
