Story Time

We were in the Adirondacks this weekend to view the meteor Shower [only saw 2] . Autumn[10] and Joseph[5] arrived and Vivian read them a story.

Many many years ago when our kids were this young we watched the Perseids in the Adirondacks and saw thousands of meteorites most of them tiny streaks sometimes sevral at the same time; about one brite one a minute. After a while we realized that we were actually hearing them.

Years later i read a theory that the meteorites generate radiowaves that are picked up by leaves as if a Crystal radio generating sound. There seems to be no delay between sight and sound

In any case we still talk about it some 30 years later and hope to see it again; we haven't.
