The Last Post

There are few remnants of the old Greenham Common airbase, this one that stands out for me.
After the gravel extraction the common was given to a trust that have done an excellent job of turning it back to heath land.
I spent an hour walking round the common being amazed at the transformation over the last ten years. I'm embarrassed to say I have only been up there twice in the last ten years and have just realised what a wonderful place I have been missing.
