Euphorbia

I went up to the allotment today for an hour or two's grubbing about. Shallots and a few more tiny seedlings are just starting to show under their fleeces and the broad beans are doing away. It's still rather bare looking, so the little clumps of daffodils and primroses really shine out.

The blip is for DaveH though, as it's his favourite flower. They've been late opening this year. This vintage clump, originally from Oxford, creates a great blaze of acid green/yellow bracts in the back border, and the first ladybirds appear all over it, munching aphids.

Thanks for the kind remarks on yesterdays blip - last night's beer plus this morning's allotment visit have been fairly restorative!
