Dancing Gull

The boys and I went to Walmart to check out the Easter stuff. We needed a couple egg color kits. Here's what we got:

4 year old chose Camo decorating kit
2 year old chose Monster decorating kit
Mama chose the shiny decorating kit...Being the only girl in the house, I need to have a little fun too! haha

On our way back home the wind really picked up and the rain started. Not sure if it really qualifies as rain but maybe a nasty, wet fog that is slammed into your face by the 45 mile an hour gusts of wind.

Anyways, pddesigns inspired me on this one. There were about one hundred sea gulls out at the dock by my house. They were all perched quietly and facing the exact same direction...into the wind. Staying smart in my man-van I pulled up slowly in hopes of getting a great shot.

My lack of a true telephoto lens can really be frustrating. It's so hard to snap a close up on wildlife without one. So this was the best I could do with my cheesy screw on telephoto. It did bring him in a little closer, but I nearly hopped the curb trying to get close enough.

When he would start to freak out, he'd do a little dance. I really liked the shots where he was sitting so proud and courageous, but his little dance was really funny. So that's my blip.

And the large actually isn't too bad.
