Bible in Schools.

In NZ people are still allowed to go into schools and talk about the Bible. Crazy huh? especially since they are not really a "Christian Nation"

Since its easter we were asked to give our half out segments an easter theme. So we talked with the kids about what they throught easter was about and then told them what we believed.

Learnt its tough to tell the easter story to kids without scaring the crap out of em. Cuz the real story is crazy violent, deep and powerful. It really is the most powerful, redemptive and humbling story the world has ever known.

That Jesus who is God, became sin for us. and was completely rejected and abandoned by his father, God, on the cross.

We like to focus on the physical pain that Jesus went through which was incredible, but the worst thing was that he was made a curse and was completely abandoned and forsaken by God. The punishment that WE deserved for sinning was laid on a perfect faultless and 100% obedient Jesus.

We deserve death, but he took it for us, so we could be given the opportunity of redemption. Its only by him. This is why HE is the only way to God.

He rose so we could rise.

That is my Savior.

That is my God.
