Utility

The bedspread come wall hanging. It was attached to the light fittings but I was concerned about one which appeared to be loose and was attached by only one screw. I was worried I'd come home to dangling bulbs and a shattered glass shade. Instead I came home to find that the cleaner had stuck big screws in the wall - hidden behind the lampshade - what a star.

I was trying to find someone on Notes today and a search on his surname or forename was fruitless. I got really frantic and started ranting to one of his colleagues. She's a bit more patient than me so she discovered that they had added him with his middle initial as part of his surname. How ridiculous is that. A surname that is one letter a space and then a name. I then started raging about numbskulls - I find it hard here not only not to swear but also not to use inappropriate comments. I was surprised to hear the 12 year old in the Deccan Chargers team playing against Mumbai and Delhi on Sat morning on the concrete outside my window saying "shit". You just don;t hear these things - unless you sit close to me and hear me muttering.
