Practical cookery (in 1903)
I found this book at the large charity book sale that takes place each year in George Street for Christian Aid (?). I discovered that it dates back to 1903 and appears to be a bound copy of a magazine of recipes written by the top chefs of the day. It is full of very complicated recipes (I really should try one). Following on from last Saturday's entry, I liked these ladies at the game stall purchasing fowl for their supper. Even the illustrated L features cockerels.
The translation is something like: A round up of recipes:practical cookery, demystified and discussed
