Honeycomb experiment

This shot today was taken just experimenting with a honeycomb grid on my sb800 flash.
The idea is to take a realistic color image but without harsh lines or the opposite with very smooth portrait smoothness. In other words a photograph that has great detail without using sharpening filters. I think it works ok.
