Tea Party

This afternoon we had friends C and M over to play, which was wonderful as always.

The kids had an elaborate tea party in the festive dining room, complete with outrageous outfits from the dress-up box, teacups of cocoa, and platters of rolled jelly sandwiches and banana slices with honey-yogurt dipping sauce.

Jennifer and I had mugs of coffee at the unadorned kitchen table, wearing our regular clothes.

I'm not sure which group was happier.
