Happy Anniversary

Well after sitting in the study for a number of hours last night as Milo was displaying behaviour that implied he was going to shed soon, I had to go to bed.

This morning I found his skin in the viv. It was a very unsuccessful shed. He had been rubbing at his neck rather than his nose and so as a result still has the dead skin covering the top of his head and face. The humidity must also have been too low as he shed in several pieces.

I tried to soak him in a warm bath but he's a little coward and is scared of water so I've had to go with damp sphangum moss in his hide instead in the hope it will soften up and come off. He also went to the toilet in his hide so I had that to clean out too. He's currently curled up in the cool end under the cork bark so hopefully he'll rub himself clear of the skin.

It's The Boy and I's anniversary today and to celebrate I get to go up Calton Hill in the pouring rain for 3 hours this evening! Yay! I guess we'll be celebrating after Beltane then.
