Approaching DFW
10 hours out of LHR, a long boring flight.
It was clear pretty much all the way from the great lakes down through the 'bread basket of America' to Texas, Endless tracts of emptiness and incredably long straight highways, perfect gridded towns and the patchwork of round flelds (the irrigation systems work on wheels that turn huge circles in the fields). As we started our descent the population density drastically increased, as far as the eye could see mankind has put his rather large footprint on the land.
Mostly brown with the odd drop of 'my' blue, it was also rubbish day in this neighbourhood.
