after slide night

We had Sam, Rach, Cass, Glenn and Bron around for dinner and to look at 35mm slides projected on the big screen last night. It has been a very long time since the slide projector had a work out. We had 20 slides each and images from the Serengeti, the States, all over NZ and the 1950's and 60's.

Just before we went to bed I snapped this still life. I like the fact we can happily have washing waiting to be folded and have friends around. It's just as well really as we wouldn't have anyone round if we waited until the house was tidy...
