Number Plate Holder and my Armpit
This is my new number plate holder. All my creation.
I measured up my bike, drew it in Adobe Illustrator, made a cardboard dummy one to check size, got the local laser cutter to cut it from 1.6mm aluminium, got my mate Ken to bend it up and finally I applied red adhesive vinyl to it to give it the "painted" look.
All that for about half the cost of a bought one and twice as much fun.
Now, I realise that this isn't interesting to everyone but I am quite pleased with myself for nutting it out and coming up with a solution.
What it will do when I eventually fit it is shorten the rear end of the bike giving it a sportier look. I know, boys and their toys.
Onto other things, We had an Easter egg hunt at work today. It was kind of amusing to think that a bunch of adults were running around the place looking for the hidden eggs with numbers in them. The numbers matched up with chocolate egg prizes.
And now for something completely different. I bought some under arm sweat pads for myself recently. Work can be quite physical sometimes and sweaty armpits not to mention BO can be an unwanted hazard for those I work with. I bought the pads to make myself a bit more pleasant to be around during the day. OK, I need to get to the point. I attached the sweat pads to the inside of my work shirt this morning and at some time during the day one of them reversed itself and instead of sticking to the shirt it was stuck to my hairy armpit... It wasn't easy to get off without crying.
So far the jury is out onthe armpit pads.
