Kwai Noi

Today was an organised tour to the River Kwai (and of course its railway bridge) and other sites related to the Thailand-Burma railway.

The bad news: had to get up at 05.30 for an appallingly early set off from hotel.

The good news: was fantastic experience. Excellent museum next to CWGC cemetery, splendid cemetery (you know what I mean), tourist tat at bridge itself (likewise), hair-raising longboat journey, nice journey on rails etc etc.

Can't praise enough the man who built and runs museum; Rod something, Aussie, great monument to these men and women. Good lad Rod.

Great day.
