Sad Day.

Today 8 colleagues left work.
For good.
Voluntary redundancy.
They wanted it and it came at the right time for them.

It was an emotional end to the day for everyone. But for a small number of us it is a massive loss. Four of them were members of the same department as me. In particular two of them were not just colleagues, they are friends. Wonderful people who have helped and supported many, many young people through some very difficult times.
Tomorrow is going to be completely different to how it has been every other day since I joined the place 8 years ago.

I needed a drink tonight.
