Velvet Cupcakes

In an effort to cook and bake more, I made Velvet Cupcakes today as an excuse to try out a new cream cheese frosting recipe that I have found.

Frosting is something I've tried many times with different recipes to get the desired effect but none have really been up to standard...this one was. It invited an opportunity to try out piping but the hunt for the piping bag brought about the revelation that if had been binned...along time ago. Not to worry, I smeared it on and it tasted just as good. I'll just need to try again when I buy another bag...shame!
