Bowfell

Not long back from a lad's and Dad bonding day out in the Lake District. The snow of the last few days made the highest fells out of the question for all but those with ice axe and crampons. I have all the kit but the lad's don't so we opted for the lower fells of the Langdale Pikes where it was not as icy but provided a good challenge. The weather was glorious with odd snow shower that you could see coming from the west. There is one brewing over Bowfell in the picture. In the picture it looks like you could walk to Bowfell but there is a 1000'+ drop into the upper Langdale valley just beyond the figure in the shot.
