A Rarer Sight of Spring

The wee man tried out an old kite of mine today. Seemed the perfect weather for it.

This is one of those photos in which the execution was far more of a trial than at first sight: as well as taking the pic here, I'm flying the kite and holding up a 2 1/2 year old, who is (of course) also demanding to fly the kite at this point.

He didn't actually get to fly the kite much, since he quickly discovered the entertainment value of letting it go and watch Dad chase the b****y thing across the grass...
