Imaginary Buttons

I've been playing around with textiles within my work for a few years now. Before I specialised in jewellery I had pretty much decided that I was going to uni to get a degree in textiles design. I really, really wanted to make costumes for films. But we got lectures from each department to learn more about them and when the department head Roger talked to us about it...I just knew that was where I was supposed to be.

Sad, but true and I really adored it. Still do.

Anyway, I'm still messing around with textiles and I'm going through a very textiles based period at the moment, so, using photos of my jewellery pieces, I'm trying to develop my own repetitive prints for using within my designs. They're a work in process, but I decided to print a few and make some buttons today. I'm wanting them to be a bit like ditzy prints. This is also the shape I'm starting to use as a logo for myself. So it's what I've just put as my blog background as a revamp. Yay!
