Cleaning help wanted

I thought I might get an early start on a bit of yard cleanup today but things are still soggy. although in a thematic variation on yesterday's Spots I guess I could have cleaned a few more windows.

What Mace and I did do was another of our bi-weekly therapy dog visits. I would never scoff at the idea of animal-human bonds but I've tended to think that sometimes they're romanticized. Mace is naturally a quiet, cautious dog and does her visiting rounds with reserved friendliness. Today, though, she jumped right up onto the bed through a gap in the side rails to lie beside one of our favourite people. It wasn't until probably 10 minutes into our visit that he told us(me) that he'd just had some bad news about his chances of regaining use of his legs. Make of it what I will, I guess.
