8th Wonder of the world

Up at 4am this morning as we've decided to make that effort and visit the Temples at Ankgor Wat for sunrise. The Cambodians call it the 8th Wonder of the World but this now seems to be a rather nebulous list.
Our friendly Tuk Tuk driver was of course late being hindered by a flat tyre. I know this might be difficult to sort out at this hour of the morning but he wouldn't tell us what the problem was and we had turned down several other lifts.
By the time he arrived we were steaming as a sun rise waits for no man and my 19 year old daughter had turned into a bit of an irrate memsaab. Of course I knew what would happen next, he would risk life and limb to get us there on time and our journey turned into something out of Wacky Races and we were the Ant Hill Mob!
Well we did arrive on time only to find that my unwillingnes ever to read an instruction manual meant that I wasn't best placed to use my camera under such lighting conditions! It was a blippers paradise with hundreds of photographers awaitng the great moment. You'll have to take my word for it but it was rather wonderful and if you ever get the opportunity do it but read your manual first :-)
