Tulips
I've blipped the tulips before, when they were in their closed bud stage. They are actually much more interesting when open, with the petals bending back exposing the pollen-saturated stamen. Unfortunately too many of them have been flattened to the ground with the recent rain, snow and wind. However, it's been such a beautiful sunny Bank holiday Friday, allowing some time spent in the garden with the sun beating down on my back, that they deserved a second showing.
Both beautiful boys, with an Italian friend, coming round for dinner tonight and an overnight stay so really looking forward to seeing my top two favourite people. Think we might light the wood burning firepit and chew the fat round that tonight...
