Lolly anyone?

I have no idea what this is all about or what it's for but I came out of a (very nice) Mexican resturant in the Gracia area of Barcelona with Gordon (friend and my replacement in Barcelona) to find these strung across one of the streets: giant foam lollipops and ice creams. Numerous bemused tourists taking photos, numerous locals looking like it was the most natural thing in the world!
