I think because Pheasants are so very common round here that we sometimes forget what spectacular birds they are.. They`re not native to the British Isles but were introduced many years ago from the Far East . In our region they vary from very dark green, almost black, right through to white. I think this one is a fine example of probably the most common colour scheme, I was taken with the arrangment of the stones....
