the blinds

well, it is sunday, and i didn't go to church - with all the comings and goings of family members i felt that it would be best to wait until next week to make an appearance. my wife was supposed to board a plane back home at 8 am and, following a connecting flight, arrive by 4:30pm. well, about 5am i received an automated phone call that her flight had been rescheduled at that she would now leave an hour and a half later, have two layovers, and not arrive until four hours after the time we had originally planned. not only that, but apparently there was a bit of confusion with her luggage at the airport when she was getting started with my parents. to make a long story short, it all worked out - her bags arriving with her at the originally scheduled time...life takes mysterious turns, even if it means a bit of sitting and staring at the blinds, wondering what's going to happen next.
