Murphy's Law
"What can go wrong will go wrong."
Thus, we develop an attitude of "it is what it is. now let's focus on what we can control."
We say that with a passion in my industry. On April 2nd, we had a bad storm. It was so bad the electricity went out.
So we came together and decided what was most important: save the food. And also give our members (since I work at a country club) our apologies.
This had to happen at the worst time. Two days before Easter. Imagine tens of thousands of dollars of food that we had to save. We were lucky to save 99% of it.
Electricity didn't come back on until around 1:30pm today. We canceled a la carte but kept the party of 26 since it was easy to do. We decided that, since we're going to get 600 people in for Easter, that was the best decision to make. So we prepped all day.
All our coolers and freezer turned out fine except for one. One isn't working very well as you can see in the picture. It's supposed to be 41 degrees f.
Now, I have to be up at 4:30am tomorrow. Good night folks.
