Kookaburra

Unusual way of spending Easter - a picnic/barbie in a beautiful national park. It is only 10 minutes drive from our house, but feels so serene, wild and Australian. We saw a few koalas, heard them fight, then lots of kookaburras laughing their heads off, this one got a piece of a snag (sausage in Australianese). All three of us had a go at playing cricket. I still have no idea what the whole thing is about, but I managed to hit the ball twice.
Now back at home - overeaten, with too much food in the fridge, chocolate eggs everywhere. I need a nap. But the day's not over, more exciting things planned for tonight. It is the last day of Northern Lights and we're off to see the remaining buildings beautifully lit up.
