Prospect of dog rose

Well, here it is. My very first blipfoto ever.

Spring lured me out into the garden today and I started to prod the awakening flower-beds. I was standing by the car-port when the sun suddenly lit the emerging leaves of this dog rose.

I still can't understand how such bright green, delicate growth can burst forth from such a dull brown stick. But it does, thank goodness.

Spring is here :-)
