It's that heron again

The plastic heron is there to try to deter buzzards from praying on the garden birds. I was hoping to get a nice shot of my frogspawn (which I am disproportionately excited about), but the results were a bit boring, frankly.

Every so often on a farm there is a spate of deaths of animals, when death is a perceptible presence. There have been losses lately, mainly due to the weather. If the frogspawn make it into lots of little frogs, and the surviving lambs survive I'll consider this to be a minor victory.
