Loch Turret
Decided to brave the elements this morning with a walk round Loch Turret. When we got there we found there was far more snow on the paths than we had anticipated and a chill wind blowing down the loch. Needless to say the boys still had a blast, even if it was just jumping about wee snow patches, watching the oyster catchers and poking massive blobs of frog spawn in the puddle.
If you are interested then the hill on the far back left of the loch (Ben Chonzie) is probably the best place in Scotland for watching hares, you are almost guaranteed a good show from those mad mentalists of the animal world. Probably your easiest Munro as well.
One year ago the cherry blossom was in full bloom, it's not even looking like waking up at the moment.
