Petroglyph
This petroglyph is on a rock along the Snake River, where we stopped on our way home. It is of a mountain goat and was created by the ancestors of today's Nez Perce Indians, nimi.pu. There are numerous petroglyphs pecked into the rocks on both sides of the river in this area where the Indians would cross the water. They are dated anywhere from 300 to 4,500 years old.
