Garden visitors

hushed tones from daughter number two... "mum there's something in the garden and I don't know what it is....."

This phrase is becoming quite a regular one now as we have a wide variety of visitors to our garden.

Not sure what to expect.... well we've had pheasant, Fred and Wilma the ducks, woodpeckers, goldfinches, assorted tits and sparrows etc.... I walked to the bedroom window......

In our garden we had two of these birds - no idea what they are....
bird book out and they sort of match up with the description of red legged partridge!
What an exciting place to live!

NB glad I'd managed to get out and do a bit of weeding and pruning last week so we can actually see what visits us!
