Redpoll

Bank holiday weather today - lashing rain, it shows on the blip. A quick trip out in the morning got me wet through. The rest off my day was spent cosily indoors waiting to see what birds might come to the garden.

This one caught my eye on the wrought-ironwork, it's a redpoll, a type of finch which has been coming into the garden regularly this winter.

Back to work tomorrow!
