Time to tidy the garden

About this time of year we get days that seem warm enough to allow us to get into the garden for the Big Springtime Tidy Up.

This afternoon I managed a couple of hours outside before needing to come indoors to thaw out. There is always so much to do.

This is a shot of the back garden with the tall, arching Rubus cockburnianus centre stage. It needs it's far reaching branches cutting back...or cutting off. They are covered with vicious spines and are attacking all comers!!
